Westeros Has Nothing on This Bodice

Westeros Has Nothing on This Bodice

Cosplay is not a hobby for me. It is an obsession — and an excuse to dress in ways that would get me arrested on a normal Tuesday.

I am fanatical about Comic-Con. Liverpool, London, anywhere in the world that will have me in a costume that shows off what genetics and a very expensive atelier have given me. I spend my inheritance on fabric, armour, wigs and the kind of fittings that end with a photographer breathing harder than he should.

This Westeros-coded piece is original work — medieval fantasy, gothic edge, and a bodice engineered to make men forget their wives' names. I embrace exhibitionism. I love the Goth aesthetic. I love combining both with characters from Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel, Japanese art and every comic book that ever made me wet.

I game too — Resident Evil, GTA, Fortnite — but conventions are where I come alive. Public. Watched. Desired. If you are reading this from the crowd at Liverpool Comic-Con, yes, I saw you staring. I always do.
